Fresh from a strong effort but an unfortunate result at Targa Tasmania, NSW motoring journalist Dean Evans is looking at bouncing back at the 2011 asp Adelaide Hills Tarmac Rally. Though not 100 % confirmed, the Sydneysider is doing all he can to get to the start line of the event next week.

This year, the ASP Adelaide Hills Tarmac Rally have partnered with IMS Ambulance Services to provide the required pre-hospital care in case of any emergency. Though a subject that no one wishes to discuss let alone have to deal with during an event of this kind, the organising committee have been extremely impressed by the input and assistance that IMS Ambulance Service have provided the Adelaide Hills Tarmac Rally Safety Officer in the creation and implementation of the required safety plan for the event.

For the second year, Aldom Motorsport Trailers are partnering with the asp Adelaide Hills Tarmac Rally. Mark Haig and his team wowed us all in 2010 when they launched their new lightweight fibre composite bodied motorsport trailer; a brilliant red unit that was the envy of the service parks at both the Rally and the 2010 Mount Alma Mile.

The AHTR will be Guy and navigator Brendan Warner's first event for 2011. The AHTR not only hosts the first round of the South Australian Rally Championship, but is also the first round of the Australian Modern and Classic Tarmac Rally Championships for 2011.
