Rodda Ready for Battle at Scouts Rally SA

Young South Australian Driver, James Rodda and the Rally Power Motorsport Team are ready for battle in the upcoming round 4 of the Bosch Australian Rally Championship, Scouts Rally SA.

21 year old Rodda, driving the 1999 Subaru Wrx will be aiming to take the last remaining place in the final of the Rallyschool.com.au Australian Junior Challenge to be held in Coffs Harbor in October. In addition Rodda and the team will be looking to defend their current South Australian Rally Championship lead, although keeping a modest outlook with the competition very close!

Mount Alma Mile to be conquered April 1st

In just one week’s time, the legendary mile-long hill climb at Inman Valley will come alive to play host to 160 competitors at the annual Mount Alma Mile Hillclimb, this year jointly sponsored by Willall Industries and Pilatus Aircraft. Featuring a 15% gradient, sweeping corners and a chicane, SA’s longest hillclimb track, approximately halfway between Victor Harbor and Yankalilla, will test the drivers and their vehicles to the limit.

Adelaide Hills Tarmac Rally introduces Rookie Category in 2012

First time competitors will have an opportunity to try Tarmac Rallying in the inaugural Rookie Category over day three of the 2012 Adelaide Hills Tarmac Rally.

Cars and drivers will still need to comply with all of the requirements of the event and the Confederation of Australian Motorsport (CAMS), and Rookies are encouraged to take advantage of the advice and assistance of scrutineers and event organisers to get them prepared.

Adelaide Hills Tarmac Rally finds a new home at Serafino McLaren Vale

Adelaide Hills Tarmac Rally 2012

The former McLaren on the Lake site will play host to the 2012 event, acting as service park and rally headquarters from Friday 18th May to Sunday 20th May, while the restaurant will hold the post event presentation dinner on the Sunday night.

Since the first Adelaide Hills Tarmac Rally in 2007, McLaren Vale has served as the base for the event because of its location central to the competitive stages.
