$270,000 Giveaway Marks Sprint Auto Parts Rally SA Partnership with BullGard Internet Security

$270,000 worth of the latest and most powerful Internet Security software will be given away to rally fans at this weekends Sprint Auto Parts Rally SA, thanks to a new partnership between the event and BullGuard Internet Security announced today by rally organisers.

BullGuard Internet Security is a complete security system for the home or small-business user that protects PC's and Laptops from online threats like hackers, spam, viruses and spyware.

The business has recently launched in Australia and has entered into a marketing partnership with Sprint Auto Parts Rally SA, and will offer the massive introductory giveaway as a welcome to the Australian market.

Every competitor, event official and team member will receive a BullGuard Internet Security Package as part of their participation in the Sprint Auto Parts Rally SA.

Remaining copies will be distributed to spectators at both the Angaston Super Special stage on Friday, July 25th, and Saturday (26th) nights and throughout each day of the event at the Mount Pleasant Service Park. Copies will also be available as part of Rally Merchandise purchased from selected Sprint Auto Parts stores

BullGuard retails for $89.95 but has allocated 3,000 units for distribution throughout the Sprint Auto Parts Rally SA event to teams and spectators alike.

"This massive giveaway is a clear indication of the esteem in which Sprint Auto Parts Rally SA is held as a marketing partner to introduce a new brand into Australia," said event director and Clerk of Course Ivar Stanelis.

"There are several synergies between Internet security and Rallying - both involve high levels of technology and both are extremely competitive markets where an advantage can be turned around in just minutes. In partnering with Sprint Auto Parts Rally SA, BullGuard Internet Security recognises the competitive nature of our event and the fact that both brands are market leaders in their respective industries.

"It will be fantastic to offer each official, crew member and competitor a copy of BullGuard Internet Security as a 'thank you' for their participation in the event - but we're also looking forward to giving away a big chunk of the 3,000 units available to those who come and watch the event unfold at Angaston and the Mount Pleasant Service Park, as well as via our naming rights sponsor's stores - SPRINT AUTO PARTS.

"With over 7,000 people attending last year, it will be a case of first in, best dressed to obtain a free copy of BullGuard Internet Security next weekend!" he said.

Sprint Auto Parts Rally SA will be held between July 25 - 27 and will double as round four of the 2008 Australian Rally Championship and the South Australian Rally Championship.

The hugely popular super-special stage introduced last year at the Angaston Oval returns for a second year and kicks off the Rally on Friday night.

Team TRD boss and three-time Australian Rally Champion Neal Bates currently leads the series in his S2000 Toyota Corolla with 3 straight wins, but he'll have to fend off a strong field of 55 cars including the likes of defending champions and 2007 event winners Simon & Sue Evans (TRD Toyota Corolla). Also a host of privateers will be keen to upset the TRD stranglehold hold on the A.R.C, including Michael Guest (Pirtek Rally Subaru), Spencer Lowndes (Access Hardware Evo IX) and Simon's younger brother Eli Evans (Subaru WRX), who is currently second in the championship behind Bates.

Tickets can be purchased from the event website, www.rallysa.com.au, the Rally Office in Gilbert Street, Adelaide on (08) 8212 2800 or at the gate.
