Course Check

Just got back from the course check and found quite a few nice little adventures for you. Some of the roads haven't seen a rally car since the early 80's Southern Rally IIRC.

The course is suitable for road cars driven with a bit of care in a couple of places which are noted in the route instructions. I got my Peugeot 307 wagon through one of the first tricky bits quite easily but a road car with a bit of clearance is obviously better. Quite a lot of the roads are fast and smooth but interspersed with some excellent sandy tracks to keep the navigators on their toes. Maps required are sheets 124,125,126,127 from the CFS map book of the Riverland but copies will be supplied in A3 format.

Competitive distance is around 122 km in 5 sections with approx 65 km transport.

Just for fun the last two competitive sections will be route charted around the bitumen and smooth dirt at the new Tailem Bend Motorsport Park where the Excellent Adventure will finish with a BBQ.

Straights are for fast cars; corners are for fast drivers!
