The organisers of the 2010 Scouts Rally SA are pleased to announce that the Rally is joining forces with children's charity Make-A-Wish Australia.

This diverse organisation grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions, and the Rally will provide opportunities for wish fulfillment, as well as raising funds and awareness.

Event Director Ivar Stanelis said, "I feel that having such a quality organisation involved with us is a big win for us and for the local community. Motor sport enthusiasts will embrace Make-A-Wish, and it is an excellent way to give something back to the communities that support our sport."

The President of the Make-A-Wish Barossa Volunteer Branch, Cath Cox, said the branch was thrilled to be associated with such high-profile event.

"This is a wonderful opportunity to reach a new audience, and we hope to win over a legion of South Australian motor racing fans when the Scouts Rally SA comes to the Barossa in June," she said.

Dan Ryan, Scouts SA CEO, also welcomed the partnership.

"Scouts is all about providing opportunity for young people and helping them be the best they can be. We are delighted to be part of an event that is supporting Make-A-Wish ," he said.

Make-A-Wish volunteers will be out in force at the media day on Friday, June 25, both nights of the super special stages at Angaston on June 25 and June 26, and at the forties spectator park on June 26 and 27.
