Trent Brand/Jeremy Browne Secure Third In SA Rally Championship

Trent Brand and Jeremy Browne have finished third overall after a close season in the SA Rally Championship. The title went down to the final 15km special stage in Kuitpo Forest on the final weekend of October.

"It was a close season, with the leading crews all having mixed fortunes in different events, but our stage times were all close, only seconds separating the crews" said Trent. "The pace throughout the year was very quick, but driving standards have been high and there have been few accidents."

This year the Rallye San Remo celebrates it’s 50th year. The 1972 event marked a major change in rallying – the first major sponsorship deal - when the Lancia Team appeared with “Marlboro” logos. Our car, TOG 36418 was driven by Barbasio and Sodano ( pictured above ) and finished second behind the similar car crewed by Ballestrieri and Bernacchini, helping Lancia to win the World Manufacturers’ Championship that year.

Adelaide crew John Beasley and Jeremy Browne have finished second outright
in the 2008 Clipsal 500 Adelaide Rally. Driving a Mitsubishi Lancer Evo 4,
they finished close behind first place Warren Gainsmith and Jenny Cole in a
Nissan GTR. Third were Dominic Votano and Kim Votano in an Evo 9.

The 1100 km four day event features tricky road navigation, autotests and
speed events.

Fresh from a great Rally Tasmania win, Steve Glenney and Sam Sharman posted
some very quick times before relegated by clutch trouble, while previous
