This year the Rallye San Remo celebrates it’s 50th year. The 1972 event marked a major change in rallying – the first major sponsorship deal - when the Lancia Team appeared with “Marlboro” logos. Our car, TOG 36418 was driven by Barbasio and Sodano ( pictured above ) and finished second behind the similar car crewed by Ballestrieri and Bernacchini, helping Lancia to win the World Manufacturers’ Championship that year.

Adelaide Hills Tarmac Rally is proud to announce a huge boost to the running of the 2009 event with two local South Australian companies signing on as naming rights sponsors.

Fernwood Estate Bed and Breakfast Mount Torrens have a special offer for the rally community for the upcoming Henry Lawson Memorial Trial.

Any competitors or officials who don't want to travel all the way back to Adelaide after the event can stay in one of their self contained 2 story A-framed houses, which is available both the Friday and Saturday nights, and accomodates 4 people with 1 Queen sized bed and 2 singles. Houses also feature full cooking facilities, leather lounges and combustion heaters, and a solar heated hydrotherapy pool, perfect for winding down after the event!
